I’ve been coming back to this resort for many years. We tried a couple other places just to mix it up, and no where else comes close to Tortuga Inn. The location is perfect. Right across the street from the beach and contrary to what someone else said, the small two lane road you cross to get to the beach is very easy to cross, and someone is always willing to stop and allow you to cross. But most times I’ve been there it’s not been THAT busy. The rooms are impeccably clean and modern. There is even a sprayer for your feet when you come back across to spray the sand off your feet. We are booked again for this next spring and cannot wait! Love love love this place!! ❤️

This was my 1st visit to Tortuga Inn and won't be my last! We traveled with friends who come here every year and I can see why! The condos were very well equipped and had everything needed. The shower was amazing and the beds were very comfy. The toilets must be a bit old, because they are lower than newer toilets, but super minor issue. The front desk staff was always helpful and the lovely beach is right across the street. So easy to get to!

I was unaware that this was an Inn; I thought it was a private apartment via Air BNB as my wife made our reservations. Easy to find, plenty of parking. We were in the front section just behind the pool No view to speak of but that's not something I care about. Pool looked very nice. Also something I usually don't care about. The people at the desk was terrific- friendly and helpful. 
Our room 248B was very well maintained with a separate bath, small closet, great shower; everything worked, everything was clean, a/c worked perfectly, great queen bed, great location. Would definitely go again!!!! I had no complaints and enjoyed our stay. I think this place's strength is its location; walking or bike distance to virtually everything from beach to Longboat Key to the north part of the island; even the mainland is a mile ride over the bridge.

We spent a week at the resort. The place was nice, welcoming and the staff gave you a warm welcome. The room was a nice and comfortable. It was nice to to be just cross the street from the beach. There are shops near by in the event you require something.  Also, you can walk over to Bridge Street for a fun night of live music.
